Age:22-50
Gender:mostly male
Social grade: C & E
Ethnicity: white
Interest: like to go to festivals and love loud music

Masthead-  in the masthead the word 'MOJO' stands out making it powerful and a lot more masculine which is what the target audience is aimed at, by using this writing it connotes that the genre could be something heavy like rock or indie. all the writing is bold, which gives off a very broad and powerful appeal to the audience. they have made their masthead white to sort of soften the hard rock tone they have given out white connotes to elegance and beauty and by using this on a male target audience it fits with hipster trends which work the audience demographics as black and white are popular colours. it also has a silvery drop shadow which connotes to music and metallic on the instrument which the target audience will have an interest in.

Colour pallet-  the colour pallet they have used is a mix of blue, white, grey, yellow, red and black. by using the splashes of yellow it connotes that the read will be exciting and interesting as the colour is so vibrant. they also use a mellow blue and white both of these colours work well together in a hipster sort of poster as they are popular colours in the group, they connote to happiness and spirit and gives the target audience reassurance that there favourite music genre will be in the magazine. the red stands out really well and has very much a leading roll in the colour pallet as it connotes too power and strength this will attract the audience as he red will bring them back to there youth and make them feel a lot younger and bring them memories.

Layout:  The layout is filled up leaving not many empty spaces and is very cramped this connotes that the magazine is full of information and pictures about many of there favourite artist. the layout will attract male audiences as they have a typical stereotype of being messy and love having everything at once

Images: The main image is a medium close up of Dave Grohl who is the former drummer of nirvana and the founder of the foo fighters he is the look of a steriotypical rocker as he's he's a showing a very serious face with a  beard with long hair dangling down his face he's also wearing a black shirt to go with his dark haired facial hair and long locks, but he doesn't look all black due to the lighting as it gives a good contrast between the dark and the light. The picture is very attracting to the target audience as he is a familiar faced guy who many people would of seen or heard of they may also look very similar to him as indie/rock fans will try to get there favourite celebrity styles. There are two other images on the front cover  it includes a medium long shot of a picture of David Gilmour in the top right and a feature of a cd cover in the bottom left of a festival crowd. Using a lot more images rather than just the main one attracts the audience with interest as mojo have used different sizes for there photo sizes, the audience will automitaclly go closer in to see the smaller images leading to the reading of words. men stereotypically will go for the images before the righting too hence why mojo always puts loads of images on there front covers.

Teasers/typography/lexis-  All the images have teasers to reveal more about the stories in the magazine and mojo have used theres too show they will have information about the album on the front cover and information about david and dave. they also have information around the side of the cover for example 'ELVIS the last mystery' will indicate that something would be about elvis and instantly theres some sort of mystery which audiences love! mojo have used specific and intriguing parts of their stories to boast on there cover. They are vey informal but very interesting for readers as its short and snappy, easy too read. the language represents the male target
